Riot Games announces LEC Rivals Challenge: play League of Legends and win prizes

Riot Games has introduced a new in-game event called LEC Rivals Challenge. This initiative allows fans to support their favorite esports teams simply by playing League of Legends and earn valuable rewards.

Participants choose an LEC team they want to represent and earn points by completing tasks in regular LoL matches. Points count toward both the player’s personal score and the total score of the selected team.

Point system

• Win a match — 3 points
• Complete a match — 1 point
• Destroy a tower — 2 points
• Kill a Dragon — 2 points
• Kill Baron Nashor — 3 points
• Penta Kill — 10 points

Special limited-time missions will also be available. These may provide score multipliers or require the combined effort of all fans supporting a specific team.

Players can earn different prizes depending on their leaderboard position:

Main rewards

• Meet-and-greet with pro players
• Tickets to LEC matches
• Gaming gear

Grand prize

• Unlock all champions and skins for one year

Team rewards

• Signed jerseys
• Branded merchandise (t-shirts, accessories, etc.)

Creative contest

• The most creative fans can win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the LEC Summer Finals in Madrid, including flights, hotel, and VIP tickets.
