Star-Studded Showmatch at VALORANT Champions 2026: TenZ vs. Karry Wang and Crazy Fan Rules

Riot Games has officially confirmed the rosters for the VALORANT Champions 2026 showmatch in Shanghai. The matchup between the international Team Omega and the local Team Alpha will kick off the final weekend of the tournament. The broadcast will take place on October 18 at 9:00 EEST. In addition to the star-studded match, viewers are anticipating the possible reveal of a new in-game agent under the codename Hush.

The international Team Omega will be led by former professional player and two-time Masters champion with Sentinels — TenZ. He will be joined by popular CS2 streamer OhnePixel, renowned singer-songwriter Keshi, DJ and producer Dabin, as well as FIFTY FIFTY K-pop group member and official T1 ambassador — Athena.

Team Alpha will compete on their home turf and rely on the support of local fans. The Chinese roster will be captained by singer and actor Karry Wang from the group TFBoys. Joining him on stage will be the duelist for the professional team Bilibili Gaming, Wang "whzy" Haozhe, alongside popular Chinese content creators and streamers HangHang, Gus, and Aijiang.

The organizers have also added an interactive element to the showmatch, allowing viewers to directly influence the rules of the game. The community is voting on special modifiers that will apply to both teams during three specific rounds:

• Round 4: Players will be forced to communicate in voice chat entirely in whispers (ASMR) or relay information exclusively by singing (Find Your Rhythm).
• Round 8: The motivational speech before the start of the round will be delivered by the player with the highest amount of kills (Pep Talk) or the one at the bottom of the scoreboard (Cautionary Tale).
• Round 14: Teams will share a common voice chat and hear each other's strategies (No More Secrets), or loud music will blast through the players' headphones during the game (Let’s Make Some Noise).
