Riot Games developers have presented the official patch schedule for Teamfight Tactics (TFT) for 2026. Updates will be released regularly throughout the year. Typically, patches drop on Wednesdays alongside League of Legends updates, although the two games use different version naming conventions.
The number of each patch in TFT reflects its connection to a specific game set. The first number in the name represents the set, and the second represents the specific update. For instance, version 17.7 means the seventh patch for Set 17. According to Riot Games, each set traditionally contains approximately eight updates.

Throughout 2026, players will experience three new sets: 17, 18, and 19. Set 17 already launched on April 15, while the release of Set 18 is scheduled for the summer, and Set 19 is expected to debut in the winter.
Patch release dates are subject to change if necessary. In the event of a delay, Riot Games commits to notifying the community at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled launch time.
