Riot Games has announced that part of the development team behind the fighting game 2XKO will be reduced. The information was published on the company’s official website.
The decision was made after the game failed to meet the company’s expected performance and success targets following its launch. Employees affected by the layoffs will either be reassigned to other Riot Games divisions or receive severance compensation and leave the company.
The layoffs could impact approximately 80 employees.
Earlier, eight teams were eliminated from Six Invitational 2026.
