August 29 will see the group stage action continue at BLAST Open Porto 2026. Teams will face matches in the upper and lower brackets, and by the end of the matchday, several more teams will move closer to reaching the playoffs.
The tournament is being held in a double-elimination format: all group stage matches are played in Bo3 format. Group winners will receive a direct spot in the playoff semifinals, while the teams finishing second and third will start the playoffs from the quarterfinals.
The first teams to take the server will be Vitality and 9z. The French squad found themselves in the lower bracket after a sensational 0:2 defeat to Ukrainian Inner Circle. ZywOo's team now needs to win in order to continue their fight for a spot in the next stage.
9z are also in a difficult position: the team lost to MOUZ in their opening Group B match and will now fight to keep their tournament hopes alive.
One of the main matches of the day will be the meeting between MOUZ and Inner Circle.
MOUZ made a confident start to the tournament, defeating 9z 2:0. The European squad took Cache 13:4 and then closed out the series on Nuke — 13:7.
Inner Circle, in turn, created the biggest upset at the start of BLAST Open Porto by defeating Vitality 2:0. The Ukrainian team won Anubis 13:8 and then closed out Cache in overtime — 16:13.
The winner of this match will take an important step toward advancing from the group through the upper bracket.
Next, FUT Esports will face Lynn Vision. This is an important match for both teams, as a victory will allow them to continue their fight for a spot in the playoffs.
FUT have already played against Legacy in their opening Group B match, losing to the Brazilians 0:2. The team now needs to bounce back and avoid an early elimination from the tournament.
The match between Legacy and Falcons will conclude the matchday.
Legacy have already demonstrated good form at EWC 2026 and are now continuing to show their incredible performance at BLAST Open Porto, defeating FUT on two maps. The Brazilians won Ancient 13:10 and Dust2 13:11.
Now they will face a much more serious opponent — Falcons, who are among the tournament favorites. The match will be a test for Legacy and will show whether all these victories were just a coincidence or if the team is truly in incredible form right now.
