The Ukrainian shooter SAND: Raiders of Sophie has been hit with another release delay. Just days ago, developer Hologryph announced during Summer Games Fest that players would be able to jump into the game on June 10, following a final round of server testing.

That Server Slam test ultimately proved crucial. According to the developers, it uncovered major technical issues that could have prevented the game from supporting the intended number of players per match and led to serious launch-day problems.

As a result, Hologryph and publisher tinyBuild decided to postpone the release and change the game's launch strategy. SAND: Raiders of Sophie is now scheduled to arrive on June 22 in Early Access, despite the team's earlier plans to avoid that release model.

«Server Slam helped us uncover critical issues that were not visible during previous online tests, effectively saving us from a disastrous launch. We can fix these critical problems, but we need a little more time. June 22 is our new launch date. We will continue to actively involve the community in development».

The developers also confirmed that a post-launch roadmap will be revealed on release day, outlining future updates and improvements shaped by community feedback and player suggestions.
