SEGA, together with the Formula 1 team McLaren Racing, will organize a special interactive fan zone called Sonic Speed Trap during the Miami Grand Prix. The event will take place from April 29 to May 3, 2026.
At the Speed Trap, visitors will be able to run along a special track to test their speed against Sonic the Hedgehog. At the end of the run, a photo will be taken capturing a “supersonic” motion blur effect.
For the first time, a mascot of Tails will appear in public and, together with Sonic, will be available for photo sessions throughout all five days.
SEGA officially became a gaming partner of McLaren Racing in June last year.
