The League of Legends community has been waiting nearly a decade for a Shyvana rework. Although Riot Games repeatedly hinted at the idea in the past, other champions were consistently prioritized instead.

The Shyvana update is scheduled to be released on March 18.

Riot first officially voiced the idea of reworking Shyvana back in 2021, when the design team held its first public poll to decide which champion should receive the next major update.

The results of that vote were as follows:

  • Udyr — 37.2% (winner)
  • Shyvana — 18%
  • Skarner — 17.3%
  • Nocturne — 15.4%
  • Quinn — 12.1%

As a reminder, three individuals were recently detained in China for leaking confidential information related to Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
