Silicon Valley University to Award $15,000 Scholarship for Completing Minecraft 100%

The University of Silicon Valley, based in California, has announced the launch of its Max Achievement Scholarships program. The institution is offering $15,000 in tuition assistance to prospective students who demonstrate exceptional gaming achievements, including unlocking all 115 achievements in Minecraft.

The university, which specializes in digital media and design, introduced the initiative as an alternative to traditional grants and academic scholarships. The program is designed to help high school graduates offset the high cost of higher education in the United States.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must provide official proof of their in-game accomplishments. According to the university's requirements, all achievements must be verified through:

• Official public profiles or APIs;
• Clear screenshots from the applicant's account that include the character name, account ID, and visible indicators confirming 100% completion.

If verification through APIs or public tools is not possible, the university reserves the right to request video evidence or conduct a live verification session via screen sharing.

In addition to Minecraft, the scholarship program also recognizes achievements in several other popular games:
