Sony Pictures has officially released the first teaser trailer for a new film based on the iconic Resident Evil franchise. The movie is directed and written by Zach Cregger.
The new film is positioned as a full reboot of the series, focusing on the atmosphere of classic horror rather than large-scale action.
At the center of the story is medical courier Brian, played by Austin Abrams, who transports donor organs. During one of his deliveries on a cold, snowy night, he accidentally finds himself at the epicenter of a biological disaster.
The film is set for a worldwide release on September 18, 2026.
As a reminder, NBA The Run is scheduled to release in June 2026.
