Star Wars: Galactic Racer from Fuse Games has already earned an 88 Metacritic score based on 54 critic reviews. Most of the reviews are for the PlayStation 5 version, while 12 reviews cover Xbox Series X and 15 are for PC.
According to critics, Galactic Racer has surpassed every Star Wars: Battlefront game. The original 2004 Battlefront holds an 80 Metacritic score, while its sequel scored 83. The 2015 Battlefront received 73, and Battlefront II from 2017 sits at just 68.

The game has also managed to beat the scores of two movies from the original Star Wars trilogy. The Empire Strikes Back has an 82 Metacritic score, while Return of the Jedi sits at only 58. A New Hope remains ahead of the game with a score of 90.
Among Star Wars video games, the highest Metacritic score still belongs to 2003’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which holds a 94. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from 2023 has an 85.
In television, the highest-rated Star Wars release this year is “Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi,” which currently has an 83 Metacritic score.
