Saber Interactive is bringing the classic franchise back to life by presenting a demo version of Stuntman: Hollywood at Gamescom. The main feature of this new installment is the inclusion of officially licensed, well-known cinematic universes, allowing players to perform extreme stunts on the sets of cult movies.

The gameplay focuses on the precise work of a stunt driver on a movie set. Every drift, close call, and crash is recorded, contributing to a final score of up to 10 stars. To achieve the maximum score, the player must not only execute the main stunts perfectly but also complete three additional level challenges, such as maintaining a steady speed or destroying objects. Challenge progress is not saved—if you restart, you will have to complete them all over again.

The developers have retained the classic "takes" system, which limits the number of mistakes you can make. The higher the difficulty, the fewer takes are available before a complete mission failure and restart. Missions within a single franchise also offer different vehicles: for example, the Jurassic World levels include driving both a motorcycle and a car.

The exact number of licenses is currently being kept under wraps (with at least one more announcement expected), but the following franchises have already been confirmed in the preview build:

  • The Fast & The Furious
  • 2 Fast 2 Furious
  • Miami Vice
  • Earthquake
  • Jurassic World
  • Back to the Future

There is currently no official release window for Stuntman: Hollywood, as the developers are focused on polishing the project. However, thanks to close ties with Universal, they are considering the possibility of further expanding the game with new movie universes through DLC or free updates.
