In April 2025, Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor officially announced Star Wars Zero Company, a tactical game set in the Star Wars universe. The project is being developed by former creators of XCOM and Civilization, but since the reveal almost no new information has surfaced and the release date remains unknown. However, fresh details suggest the game may be nearing the final stages of development.
According to the fan site Bespin Bulletin, Star Wars Zero Company has received several age ratings across different countries over the past week. This process usually happens shortly before a game’s release. Because of this, many expect the release date to be announced during one of the upcoming summer showcases, possibly at the opening ceremony of Summer Game Fest 2026 on June 5.

The classification boards also revealed a few new details about the project. In Brazil, the game received a “14+” rating, while South Korea assigned it a “15+” classification due to moderate but realistic violence, explosions, slang, and some strong language. Still, it is unlikely that Disney would allow excessively harsh content within the Star Wars franchise.
The ratings description also confirmed that the story of Star Wars Zero Company takes place between the Clone Wars and the early rise of the Galactic Empire.
Players can expect dynamic turn based combat with a wide range of tactical options and unique character abilities. The squad will include a Jedi Knight, a stormtrooper, several Mandalorians, and will be led by former Republic officer Hawks.
The developers are also promising a deep relationship system between characters that will directly affect their combat performance and teamwork.
Star Wars Zero Company is scheduled to launch in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
