Esports organization Team Liquid has announced a partnership with the MatchWornShirt platform.
As part of the collaboration, original player jerseys from the upcoming Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris will be auctioned off. All proceeds from the sales will be donated directly to UNICEF to support humanitarian aid programs, children's access to education, and digital inclusion initiatives.
The auction will begin on July 6, 2026. Items will be released in stages according to each team's tournament schedule, allowing collectors to follow specific esports titles. In total, jerseys from 10 competitive disciplines will be available.
To protect against counterfeiting, MatchWornShirt will embed a special NFC chip into every jersey. By scanning the chip with a smartphone, buyers will receive a verified digital certificate of authenticity.
