Vas Roberts, Co-CEO of the French esports organization Team Vitality, has officially stepped down from his position. In a LinkedIn post, he announced that August 2026 was his final month with the company, which he joined in December 2024.
Under Roberts' leadership, Team Vitality focused on proving the commercial viability of esports to sponsors. The organization began publishing concrete data from its advertising campaigns. Notably, a one-year partnership with Nescafé Latte delivered a twofold increase in new buyers, expanded retail presence, and a 44% boost in brand awareness. Similar reports were presented regarding collaborations with Magnum and Uber Eats.
To generate this analytics, external partners such as Blinkfire Analytics were brought in, alongside Team Vitality's newly created in-house agency, RushBee. Roberts' goal was to demonstrate to brands that esports sponsorships offer a return on investment on par with traditional sports and the entertainment industry.
Reflecting on his tenure, the former executive emphasized that despite challenging market conditions, the company achieved record commercial revenue. He now plans to take a short break before exploring new executive leadership and advisory roles across gaming, esports, sports, and media, where he can help businesses scale or reposition themselves.
Team Vitality has not yet commented on its future plans for the Co-CEO role. Roberts' departure marks another phase in the organization's leadership changes: in April 2026, co-founder Fabien Devide became the new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Nicolas Maurer, who transitioned to Chief Strategy Officer. Under the new structure, Devide focuses on operations and competitive performance, identifying Counter-Strike 2 as a key priority for the company.
