Rebel Wolves CEO Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has revealed that the studio is pleased with the current pre-order performance of its debut RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, although exact sales figures have not been disclosed.
According to Tomaszkiewicz, the game has already accumulated around 1.5 million wishlists across all platforms. He noted that the team considers this metric one of the most important indicators of player interest.
"Although I think that equally important, if not more important for us, is having around 1.5 million wishlists, because players tend to be cautious with pre-orders and often wait for extensive reviews", — said Rebel Wolves CEO Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
Rebel Wolves intends to turn Dawnwalker into a long-running franchise. Future entries are planned to explore different cultures, historical periods, and regions while continuing the broader narrative established in the first game.
"In The Blood of Dawnwalker we want to showcase Slavic themes, but we already have plans for future installments set in other geographical regions and focused on different story themes", — Tomaszkiewicz explained.
The studio's primary goal is to ensure a successful launch that will fund a sequel and support the continued growth of Rebel Wolves. The company currently employs 166 people, including around 140 developers.
Tomaszkiewicz also confirmed that the team is discussing a roadmap for smaller free DLC releases after launch, though no final decisions have been made yet.
The studio plans to showcase the game's current state more frequently as release approaches, including updates on optimization and performance. According to Tomaszkiewicz, the previously published PC system requirements should not be considered final.
"Our goal is to show the game exactly as it looks at each stage of development. That's why we're gathering performance data using all currently available upscaling technologies", — Tomaszkiewicz added.
The main marketing campaign for The Blood of Dawnwalker is expected to begin roughly a month before launch. The game is scheduled to release on September 3, 2026.
