Today marks 15 years since the release of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the iconic RPG that became a major milestone for the series about Geralt of Rivia.
Released on May 17, 2011, the game pushed the franchise forward with a darker narrative, political intrigue, branching storylines, and choices that carried serious consequences throughout the adventure.
CD Projekt RED reminded fans that the second chapter of Geralt’s trilogy focused on shifting alliances, hidden motives, and morally complex decisions that shaped both the story and the fate of its key characters.
To celebrate the anniversary, the studio shared a brand-new commemorative illustration inspired by the game’s story and themes. The developers also thanked the community for supporting The Witcher universe over the years.
In their message, the studio wrote:
«Every story has a beginning and an end, but it's the middle where the plot really thickens».

As a Reminder, The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 artbook is getting a third reprint this year.
