CD Projekt Red has announced another major achievement for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. According to the studio, the acclaimed RPG has now surpassed 65 million copies sold worldwide.
The milestone highlights the game's remarkable longevity. The Witcher 3 had sold 40 million copies by April 2022, reached 50 million in 2023, climbed to 60 million in May 2025, and has now crossed the 65 million mark.
These figures show that even 11 years after launch, The Witcher 3 continues to sell more than 5 million copies annually, an impressive feat for a game released over a decade ago.
CD Projekt joint CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed the new sales milestone during the company's latest quarterly earnings report. The achievement places The Witcher 3 among the best-selling video games of all time and puts it more than 50 million copies ahead of its predecessor.
Interest in the game is expected to grow even further following the recent announcement of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past. The new expansion, scheduled for release in 2027, will once again put players in the role of Geralt of Rivia and help set the stage for the events of the upcoming The Witcher 4.
