Tomb Raider: Catalyst, announced in December 2025, will no longer launch in 2027. Amazon Games CEO Jeffrey Gattis confirmed during an interview with The Game Business that the game has been pushed back to 2028.

The delay follows Amazon and Crystal Dynamics' earlier decision to move Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to February 12, 2027. At the time, many expected the new Tomb Raider title to slip as well, and Gattis has now confirmed that this will indeed be the case.

While discussing Amazon Games' AAA strategy, Gattis revealed that Tomb Raider: Catalyst is now scheduled for release in 2028. However, he did not explain the reasons behind the postponement.

Crystal Dynamics has not yet commented on the delay. The official Tomb Raider: Catalyst website still lists 2027 as the game's planned release window.

The story of Tomb Raider: Catalyst takes players to northern India, where Lara Croft accidentally triggers a mystical catastrophe and awakens ancient mechanical guardians protecting long-lost treasures. As she attempts to stop the growing threat, she must also evade a ruthless group of treasure hunters pursuing her. The game is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.

As a Reminder, Halo: Campaign Evolved earns strong first review scores.
