Today, August 19, marks the beginning of a major Trackmania tournament as part of the massive Esports World Cup 2026 series. The competition is held offline in Paris and will run until August 22. A total of 32 top players from around the world will compete for a solid prize pool of $500,000 USD.
The Esports World Cup series is the successor to the Gamers8 tournaments. Interestingly, the event was originally planned to be hosted in Riyadh, but in May the organizers decided to move it to the French capital. Trackmania was officially added to the lineup of disciplines back in January.

The competition features Cup Mode with a 140-point limit per match (point distribution per round: 10, 6, 4, 3). The tournament is divided into two key stages:

The first Upper Bracket Quarterfinals FFA matches start today, beginning at 15:00 EEST. The tournament winner will receive the main prize of $130,000 USD and 1,000 Club Points. Second place will earn $70,000, and third place will take home $35,000. It is worth noting that the host country has the largest representation: 7 out of 32 participants (22%) represent France.
Special attention from Ukrainian fans will be drawn to the participation of the esports organization Natus Vincere. The NAVI colors at this tournament are defended by the Polish player mime.
The representative of "Born to Win" will start his run in Group B. His opening Upper Bracket Quarterfinal match is scheduled for today at 18:30. mime's opponents in this race will be Carl Jr. from Canada, Richie from France, and Flimsy from the USA.
