Treyarch has announced that studio head Mark Gordon is stepping down after 22 years with the company. During his tenure, Gordon became one of the studio’s most influential figures, contributing to numerous Call of Duty titles, from Call of Duty 2: Big Red One to every entry in the Black Ops series.

In a message to the community, Treyarch said:

«After an extraordinary 22 years with Treyarch, our own Mark Gordon has decided to retire from his role as Studio Head to focus on his next chapter».

The studio highlighted Gordon’s impact on both the franchise and the company itself.

«We’re incredibly grateful to Mark for his steady guidance and deep care for the studio, its culture, and its people», — Treyarch stated.

Following his departure, Kevin Hendrickson and Yale Miller will take over leadership duties as Co-Studio Heads. Both are longtime Call of Duty veterans with decades of development and leadership experience, and Treyarch says they share a strong commitment to the studio’s creative vision and culture.
