The story of Stranger Than Heaven is heavily centered around music. Players follow Makoto Daito, an American-Japanese artist. Throughout the narrative, Makoto and his friend Yu Shinjo become partners of Orpheus, who recognizes and nurtures the young musician's talent.
The gameplay combines management mechanics, requiring players to organize various performances and events, with a unique combat system.
