Amazon is preparing additional casting changes for its God of War TV adaptation. According to a new report, the studio intends to replace the actors playing Atreus and Thrud for the second season.
The decision is not related to production problems. Season two will adapt the events of God of War: Ragnarök, which features a time jump that ages up both characters. Because of that, Amazon is reportedly looking for actors between 14 and 17 years old instead of the 9 to 12 age range used during the first season's casting.
It was previously revealed that Kratos will also be recast after Ryan Hurst suffered an injury, forcing production to make significant changes. At the moment, there are no reports of any other major recasts, while the premiere date for the first season has yet to be announced.
