Ubisoft has launched a new wave of restructuring that could impact approximately 380 employees. The company informed staff of the planned changes through its internal communication channels.
According to management, the primary goals of the restructuring are to streamline operations, optimize costs, and strengthen the company’s long-term position following a recent review of its project portfolio.
As part of the production optimization effort, Ubisoft has decided to permanently close its studios in Winnipeg and Belgrade. The company has also begun consultations regarding the reorganization of its Barcelona studio, which is expected to shift its focus exclusively to supporting the Rainbow Six franchise. In addition, changes are being made within Ubisoft’s global publishing division to adapt team structures across key markets.
