Ubisoft has released its latest financial report, with CEO Yves Guillemot describing the past year as a “challenging period” due to major internal restructuring across the publisher.
One of Ubisoft’s main focuses remains Teammates, an experimental AI companion system first revealed in 2025. The company confirmed that it is continuing to increase investments in the project while expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies across game development.
According to the report, new entries in the Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon series are planned to launch before March 2029. Ubisoft expects a “strong rebound” starting from fiscal year 2027, driven largely by those franchises.
The publisher also highlighted strong recent performances from Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Crew Motorfest, and For Honor. Meanwhile, Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence reportedly had a “slow start,” though Ubisoft says it remains committed to growing both games’ audiences.
Ubisoft additionally praised the early momentum of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era and named Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced as one of its major upcoming releases ahead of its July 9 launch.
The most intriguing part of the report was Ubisoft’s mention of its “first playable Generative AI experience.” The company stated:
“Ubisoft is accelerating investments behind Teammates, its first playable Generative AI experience, to enrich player experiences, while teams are making tangible progress organically on AI applications that can help manage the growing complexity of modern game development pipelines.”
Ubisoft also explained that AI is already being used to create “smarter NPCs, adaptive game worlds, and more intelligent bots supporting QC teams.”
While there is still no update regarding a new Splinter Cell title, Ubisoft believes upcoming Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon games will keep its fanbase satisfied.
