The Ukrainian co-op shooter SAND: Raiders of Sophie continues to gain momentum. Just a few weeks after launching in Early Access, the game has officially surpassed 300,000 copies sold.
TinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik shared the milestone on X, writing:
«300K copies for Sand sold. We getting a half hour of air conditioning tonight!»
The game's second major update recently caused server connection issues that forced the developers to temporarily roll it back. The team quickly resolved the problem and redeployed the patch shortly afterward.
Following the update's return, SAND: Raiders of Sophie reached a new peak of more than 40,000 concurrent players on Steam, securing a place among the platform's 100 most-played games.
The re-released patch also delivered a wide range of improvements, including a fix for the infinite "Connecting" screen, performance optimizations, better network stability, smoother character movement, improved vehicle collisions, more accurate hit registration, refined NPC behavior, and multiple interface enhancements. The update also addressed numerous bugs related to matchmaking, expeditions, item interactions, and duplication exploits.
In addition, the patch introduced extensive balance adjustments. The developers reworked several weapon and ammunition stats, updated item sell prices, adjusted resource container layouts, and increased stack sizes for high-tier materials. The team also confirmed that several known issues are still being investigated and will be resolved in future updates.
