Electronic Arts issued a one-week ban to a Ukrainian player Battlefield for using the emblem of the Azov Brigade. The user shared this information on Reddit and included screenshots of the support team’s response.

EA explained its decision by stating that the emblem allegedly contains “inappropriate references to violence and tragic events.” The company equated the patch with symbols associated with genocide, mass killings, the glorification of criminals, or the humiliation of victims.

This reaction sparked outrage within the Ukrainian community. Users pointed out that EA does not ban Russian players who use terrorist-related symbols, such as emblems of the Wagner Group, “ZOV” symbols, as well as the flags of Russia and the USSR.

Reminder: NAVI won one of their two matches during the first week of MPL Indonesia Season 17.
