Ukrainian squad B8 secured a crucial victory over GamerLegion in the 0-2 elimination bracket at IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2 in CS2. The match was a do-or-die series, with the loser being eliminated from the tournament.

The teams traded map picks to start the series. B8 claimed Inferno with a 13-11 victory, while GamerLegion responded on Mirage, winning 13-8 to level the series.

The deciding map was Nuke, where B8 struggled heavily on the CT side and fell behind 3-9 at halftime.

However, after switching sides, the Ukrainian team mounted an impressive comeback. B8 won 10 rounds on the T side, overturning the deficit and securing a dramatic 13-11 victory on the map.

With the win, B8 took the series 2-1 and improved their Stage 2 record to 1-2.

The victory keeps B8's Major campaign alive, but their path forward remains difficult. To qualify for Stage 3, the team must win two more matches in a row, with no room for error.

For GamerLegion, the loss marked their third defeat of Stage 2, resulting in elimination from the tournament.

The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is being held from June 2 to June 21 in Cologne, Germany, with a total prize pool of $1.25 million.

As previously reported, Minecraft Dungeons 2 received an official release date and a new gameplay trailer during the Xbox Showcase.
