Today, October 22, the premier event of the women's esports scene—the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2026—begins in São Paulo, Brazil. This will be the final standalone Game Changers Championship, running at the Riot Games Arena until November 1. Ten of the world's best teams will compete for the championship title and a $500,000 prize pool.

Defending champions Team Liquid Visa, who triumphed in Seoul last year, will protect their title with the massive support of the home Brazilian crowd. Their principal rivals, Shopify Rebellion Gold, who fell just short of the trophy last time, return with the intention of taking revenge and securing the championship. They will face competition from eight other squads, each capable of changing the course of the tournament: G2 Gozen, Gentle Mates GC, SK Nebula, KRÜ Blaze, Gen.G GC, Nova Esports GC, as well as FENNEL GC and MiBR.

The tournament will open with an Upper Bracket Round 1 matchup, where FENNEL GC and MiBR will clash today at 21:00 EEST.
The championship will feature a Double-Elimination bracket, meaning teams are eliminated after two losses. To ensure a variety of international matchups, the organizers have placed teams from the same regional qualifiers on opposite sides of the bracket. Most matches will be played in a best-of-three format, while the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will be expanded to a best-of-five format.

A live English broadcast of all matches will traditionally be available on the official VALORANT YouTube channel.
