The sale by Valve Corporation dedicated to the Steam Controller highlights the company’s renewed attempt to rethink gamepads for PC gaming. The device is currently unavailable for purchase in certain regions. The main idea is to let users play any game from their library however they prefer — on a PC, laptop, or even portable devices.

The new Steam Controller features several technological upgrades, including high-precision magnetic sticks, touchpads that can emulate a mouse, and an advanced gyroscope with grip sensors. One standout feature is the so-called Steam Controller Puck — a wireless adapter that also functions as a charging dock. Combined with powerful haptic feedback and a large number of buttons, including additional rear inputs, the controller offers a level of customization far beyond traditional gamepads.

Another key advantage is the Steam Input system, which allows users to customize controls for any game or use community-made configurations. Thanks to this, the controller works equally well for traditional console-style games and for shooters or strategy titles that typically require a keyboard and mouse. When paired with devices like the Steam Deck and other Valve solutions, the Steam Controller presents itself as a versatile tool for those who want maximum control over their gaming experience.

As a reminder, a Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a 1,000,000 UAH prize pool will take place in Odesa
