Call of Duty: Warzone is officially dropping support for previous-generation consoles. Support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will end completely with the launch of Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
The transition away from older platforms will happen in several stages:
- June 4 — the game will no longer be available for new downloads on PS4 and Xbox One. Existing players will still be able to continue playing on these consoles until the launch of MW4 Season 1.
- June 25 — the in-game Warzone store will be removed from last-generation platforms. However, players will still be able to progress through the free Battle Pass tiers to unlock weapons from the BO7 seasonal content.
- Launch of MW4 Season 1 — Warzone will become completely unplayable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The release of Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for October 23, with the first seasonal update arriving shortly afterward.
Reminder: DreamHack is discontinuing its BYOC tournament format due to declining demand.
