Hi. First of all, congratulations for the win.
Thank you.
I just want to come back just to yesterday's match and have a question about NAVI. How did you manage to beat them so easily?
I think it was more a preparation that we did, and being on the same page. Even having a hard time in practice, because practices are very different from tournaments. And I think just believing in each other and being in the same page was the most important. That we could beat them, we could notice when they cannot deal with what we are doing, if they can find solutions we have another counter. So we can have this kind of things to change pace, and I think that was the most important, and we won a lot of rounds like this.
Okay. Again, you won NAVI and today you beat Falcons that won a major lately. Do you feel that Legacy is showing the best Counter-Strike right now?
Yes, I think we are in our best shape. I think individually and as a team, we are a team that's helping each other. So we don't have kind of pressure to win a tournament, but we believe that we can win this tournament, we believe that we can be a top 1 team. And I think that's the most important because this feeling makes us to be in the same page faster, this feeling makes us to work a bit harder, this feeling makes us to have more willingness to win the games.
So ambitions are quite high for Legacy right now?
Yes, yes. I think it's important. If you don't have it, there is no why to be here, you know.
100% agree. I wanted to talk about, by the way, the psychology you mentioned it. Teams look very confident during the tournament. Are you working with a sports psychologist or performance coach?
Yeah, we have Bruno, he always worked with us. And we use the tools, like to reset from rounds or maybe some hard conversations before games, or when we are stressed. We kind of try to manage to have good conversations and find solutions, not only have arguments, like arguing with each other. I think that's important, we can notice good conversations, bad conversations, where it is going. And yeah, as a group I think we're managing very well each other.
In terms of these tools, was it suggested by a psychologist or were you kind of getting it?
Yes, psychologist. Sometimes you can just feel it what is bad, what is not, and I think our goal as a group and a team is get better, individually for each other, but in the game too. We believe that if you're the best in your role, then you can help the team to be the best in the world.
It's interesting because it looks like you're not feeling any pressure at least at this stage. Can you tell me why? Because compared to other teams, teams that are longer on a tier 1 level, they are maybe sometimes shaky, but you are not during this tournament. Why?
I think we are kind in a level that we can manage better this stress that we had before. Because, like, I'm 22, but I compete in CS since 14 in LAN house, and I play since 15 in tournaments, HLTV and everything. So I have a long time that I can know what is stressing me, what is not. And sometimes you have to leave home for a long time, and you barely see your girlfriend or family, you kind of start to disappear from yourself. And sometimes you forget you are a human, you have to manage another things than just Counter-Strike. And I think now we have this in mind, because we are like, me, latto, try, we are young, n1ssim is very young, but we can manage this stress, have conversations with each other, how life is going and things outside. So we can manage better how we can deal with life and how we can deal with the game too.
Looking at your results, what do you think is the main strength of the team right now? You mentioned that you are talking a lot, working with a psychologist and you're feeling like a team together, but what are the main strengths? Is it this one, or maybe an additional one?
Yeah, I think unity. Because individually we are good individuals, but when we are reunite together, we can be a better team. So having this in mind as a unity, because before the games we just live, or sometimes we just leave after the games, you go do whatever you want. Or sometimes we go together, do something together. But I think when we reunite to be as a unity, we are there, you know, we are present. We are not just going away or nobody wants another things than just winning, you know. So I think that's important.
And final question, what do you think Legacy still needs to add to your game to turn from a team that can beat top teams into a consistent contender for titles?
I think consistency... yeah, it's a tough question because I don't think it will be hard to be top 1, you know. I don't think it will be hard, but I think it will be hard to stand there, stay. And just when we be top 1 we will find how to be there, but we have this in mind: when we get there it will be harder. But we have to work, have the same conversations, I think we are in the right path. And just playing game by game, because at the end of the day it's not about only winning, it's about feeling the game, playing the game, doing the things together as a unity, and not being selfish or wanting another things than the priority of the team. So I think that's it. Just wanting the same things, and playing CS, feeling it, not only just playing it because you have to play, but play because you want. And I think that's important.
Thank you.
Thank you.
