On September 20, 2026, the Team Liquid organization officially announced the signing of Adrián "Wisper" Céspedes Dobles. The esports athlete will take over the offlaner position, filling the gap left by the departure of Matthew "Ace" Hoelgaard on September 13. This transfer is a landmark for the club, as Wisper becomes the first South American player on the Team Liquid roster.
For Wisper, this is his second stint on the European scene. In 2023–2024, he represented OG. Despite the struggles of competing outside his home region, he had some shining moments, particularly at ESL One Birmingham 2024. After returning to South America in 2025 and continuing his career at home, the player is once again making the move to Europe.
In a statement on X, Adrián confirmed his arrival in Europe and called joining Team Liquid one of his achieved goals. The offlaner stated that he will now make every effort to lift trophies and worthily represent everyone who supports him. Wisper also apologized for his previous baits online and assured fans that his English is good enough to manage team communication, adding that he continues to learn the language.
The revamped Team Liquid roster will make its debut on September 29 at the BLAST SLAM VIII tournament, where the organization hopes to improve upon the Bolivian's previous European results with the help of their own expertise.
