Ubisoft and BLAST have released an official statement confirming that several teams will compete at the BLAST R6 Salt Lake City Major with substitute players. It was also officially announced that Wolves Esports will miss the championship due to visa issues.
According to tournament regulations, Wolves will finish in 20th place and receive the corresponding prize money and SI points. In all matches where the team was scheduled to play, Wolves will be handed a default 0:7 loss. However, these matches will not count toward tiebreaker calculations under the tournament rules.
As a result, the event schedule has been adjusted. The first day will now begin with Match #2 at the originally planned time, while Wolves Esports’ match has been removed from the Day 2 schedule.
The following emergency substitutions were also confirmed:
Players whose issues are resolved during the tournament will be allowed to return to their teams and rejoin the active lineup.
BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City 2026 will take place from May 8 to May 17 in Salt Lake City. The tournament’s total prize pool is $600,000.
