The fifth and decisive round of the League of Legends Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage has concluded. Following intense matches, Karmine Corp (KC), LYON, and Bilibili Gaming (BLG) secured the final three spots in the tournament's top 8, officially eliminating MKOI, LOS, and HLE from the competition.
In a key matchup for European (LEC) representation, Karmine Corp defeated Movistar KOI with a score of 2-0. Despite MKOI's early kill advantage in the first game, KC compensated through effective dragon stacking and turned the tide in the late game thanks to superior objective control. The second game saw total domination by Karmine Corp from start to finish.
The series between North America's LYON (LCS) and Brazil's LOS (CBLOL) proved to be the most dramatic. LOS drew first blood and won the first, highly contested game. In the second game, the Brazilians also had a strong start, but LYON stayed afloat thanks to dragons. The climax was a desperate and successful base push by LYON while LOS was taking the Elder Dragon. In the decisive third game, the LCS representatives quickly seized the initiative and carried the match to victory.
The final match of the day was a clash between two of the tournament's main favorites—Bilibili Gaming and Hanwha Life Esports, the First Stand 2026 and MSI 2026 champions, respectively. The first game was a world-class duel that ended with BLG securing an ace after an incredible dragon fight. In the second game, BLG's solo laners quickly gained an early advantage, snowballed their lead, and secured a 2-0 overall victory for the team.
The top eight teams for Worlds 2026 have officially been determined. The tournament's quarterfinal matches will begin on November 4 at 00:00 EET.
