Activision has filed a new trademark application for the Crash Bandicoot franchise.
The documentation specifically references "feature-length motion pictures" and "television series." This suggests that the publisher is seriously considering expanding the popular franchise beyond video games into film, television, or animation.
The new trademark covers a broad range of entertainment content and will remain valid through 2035. While trademark registration alone does not guarantee that a specific project is already in active development, it does indicate the company’s long-term intentions for the brand.
Late last year, rumors emerged that an animated Crash Bandicoot series was being developed for Netflix. At the time, the project was reportedly linked to WildBrain Studios, the team behind Sonic Prime.
As previously reported, Riot Games is building a second stage at its Berlin arena to prevent scheduling conflicts between VCT and LEC events.
