PlayStation 5 exclusive Astro Bot continues to achieve impressive sales results. According to analysts, the total number of copies sold has now surpassed 4.3 million units.
Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics revealed that Team Asobi’s title has sold approximately 4.3 million copies since its launch in September 2024. The game is estimated to have generated around $250 million in revenue, while its development budget is believed to be below $100 million. This means Sony may have earned a significant profit from the platformer.

Although Astro Bot had a somewhat slower start after release, sales have remained steady over time. More than 600,000 copies were reportedly sold this year alone, averaging around 100,000 copies per month, with revenue reaching nearly $33 million.
One of the reasons behind the game’s success may be the popularity of Astro's Playroom, which comes pre installed on every PlayStation 5 console and introduces players to the Astro character.
