Blizzard Entertainment has officially unveiled the next major event for Diablo Immortal — a collaboration with the legendary StarCraft universe.
The limited-time crossover event, titled “Aeon of Stars,” will run from May 13 to June 10, bringing Zerg mutations and Protoss technology into Sanctuary.
The centerpiece of the event will be the Dark Ascension mode. During the four-week reward cycle, players will challenge the forces of the Tal’darim. Boss encounters featuring Tal’darim templars and Ascendant archons are designed for four-player groups. Completing special event objectives will reward players with exclusive trophies.
To strengthen characters, Blizzard is also introducing a new legendary gem called Baneboil. It allows players to detonate enemy ranks with corrosive explosions, creating chaos among opponents.
The crossover will also bring changes to the Conqueror mode, where themed shrines tied to iconic StarCraft factions will appear.
Reminder: Former Fnatic director Ronald van Buuren recently stated that “esports should not copy traditional sports.”
