Activision has unveiled the first teaser for Kill Block, a brand new multiplayer mode coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Players will get their first chance to experience it during Fanatics Fest in New York from July 16 through July 19, where Infinity Ward is also expected to reveal full gameplay.
The centerpiece of Kill Block is the West Bridge Training Facility, a battlefield that reshapes itself before every match and, in some Gunfight rounds, even during gameplay. The map is built from three modular sections known as Slabs, with two outer segments connecting to a central one to create new paths, cover locations, and combat angles.

According to the developers, the system supports more than 500 unique layouts, ensuring that no two matches play exactly the same. While many sections were created specifically for Kill Block, others draw inspiration from iconic Modern Warfare locations including Crash, Storage Town, and Shoot House.
At launch, Kill Block will support 3v3 Gunfight alongside the new 10v10 Gunfight mode, with additional multiplayer playlists planned for future updates.

The battlefield itself is not the only thing that changes. Certain map sections feature weather simulation systems capable of generating rain and snow. These conditions also affect weapon visuals, with water droplets and ice building up on firearms until players reload or switch weapons.

Infinity Ward says the constantly changing layouts, sightlines, vertical positions, and flank routes are designed to push players to adapt their tactics from one match to the next.
Beyond Kill Block, Modern Warfare 4, launching on October 23, will include 12 core 6v6 maps, large scale multiplayer battlegrounds, Hardcore playlists, and Party Modes. On PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, players will also benefit from adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, 3D audio, HDR, 4K visuals, 120Hz support, VRR, and enhanced graphical features exclusive to PS5 Pro.
