The upcoming feature film adaptation of the iconic Call of Duty franchise will be set in the Modern Warfare universe. The information, along with the film's official release date, has been confirmed by director and co-writer Peter Berg.
Berg shared the details during the "Call of Duty in Culture" panel at Fanatics Fest in New York. The project is being developed under Activision, which first announced the film adaptation in April.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 30, 2028. According to the creators, the adaptation aims to satisfy longtime Call of Duty fans by faithfully recreating the franchise's signature elements while also introducing the series to a new generation of moviegoers.
Previously, it was reported that the God of War TV series would undergo reshoots with a new actor after Ryan Hurst sustained an injury.
