Assassin's Creed Odyssey has seen a significant surge in popularity following the release of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. According to Alinea Analytics, the game's daily active player count increased by 90% within ten days of the film's premiere.

On July 17, the combined daily player base across Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation stood at around 122,000. Ten days later, that number had climbed to 233,000.

Xbox recorded the strongest growth, with daily players rising by 134% to 84,000. PlayStation nearly doubled its audience to 114,000 players, while Steam posted a more modest 26% increase.

Analysts believe the game's availability through Game Pass and PlayStation Plus subscriptions played a major role, making it easy for players to jump back into Ubisoft's recreation of Ancient Greece after watching the movie.

Although Assassin's Creed Odyssey is not directly connected to Nolan's film and takes place during the Peloponnesian War rather than the events of Homer's epic, many players have embraced it as the perfect companion experience thanks to its Greek setting and atmosphere.

As a Reminder, Dispatch launches on Xbox Series with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
