The creators of the anime series set in the universe of Cyberpunk 2077 have officially confirmed development of a sequel. The next standalone story set in Night City, titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, will receive a major presentation this summer at Anime Expo 2026.
According to the released information, viewers can expect a completely new standalone story set in the iconic futuristic metropolis. This suggests that the project will most likely focus on new characters rather than continuing the original cast.
Anime Expo 2026 will take place from July 2 to July 5, 2026, in Los Angeles, USA. Due to time zone differences, the livestream or first updates from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners panel are expected to appear in Ukraine on the morning of July 4 at 05:30.
As a reminder, Yujiro Hanma from the anime series “Baki” will join the roster of Tekken 8 in 2027.
