Blizzard has announced a major collaboration between the Diablo 4 and Overwatch franchises. The event will begin on June 30 alongside the launch of Season 14, titled Season of Death Awakening.
The in-game store will feature armor sets inspired by eight Overwatch heroes: Reinhardt, Mercy, Roadhog, Kiriko, Moira, Brigitte, Genji, and Reaper.

There will also be a free Reliquary activity. Players will be able to hunt elite monsters and champions to earn a special themed currency. The ultimate reward will be the Fox Spirit pet.
According to Blizzard's Director of Live Services Design, Dan Tanguay, the collaboration is a deliberate experiment with a lighter visual style as the game approaches its third year of live service. At the same time, he assured players that Diablo 4 will never fully abandon its dark and serious tone.
Fans of dark fantasy have accused the developers of undermining the franchise's unique atmosphere. Players argue that Diablo's grim aesthetic and serious tone clash with the colorful style of the hero shooter.
As a reminder, Lords of the Fallen II has been delayed, with its new release window now set for the first quarter of 2027.
