Today, FNCS Major 2—the most important tournament of Chapter 7 Season 3 — kicks off in Fortnite. Over two days, the world's best players will compete for slots at the year-end LAN championship, which will take place in early autumn.
Following schedule adjustments approved during the Major 1 Summit, this Major became only the second and simultaneously final one of the current year. For most competitive duos, FNCS Major 2 represents the last chance to qualify for the main event of the season. Immediately after its conclusion, a Last Chance Qualifier will take place, officially closing out the qualification series.
The competition follows the standard FNCS format. Having advanced through a series of cups, qualifiers, and heats, 100 top esports athletes have made it to the final lobby. Over the weekend, duos will play 12 matches—six games per day. Points are awarded based on final match placement and the number of opponent eliminations.
