Global gaming brand Razer has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of cloud-based streaming platform StreamElements from its former holding company, Live Momentum Ltd. This move is part of Razer’s long-term strategy to build a comprehensive ecosystem for content creators that brings together hardware, software, and partnership programs.

For content creators, service conditions remain unchanged. StreamElements continues to operate without disruptions or workflow delays, retaining its full set of existing tools:

  • custom overlays and on-stream alerts;
  • chatbots and tipping (donation) pages;
  • sponsorship management tools.

The tipping system remains fully operational. Razer guarantees service continuity and plans to invest in the ongoing development and stability of the platform.

Under the terms of the agreement, Razer acquires intellectual property rights, platform data, know-how, and business records of StreamElements.

The issue of financial obligations to creators has been addressed separately: a portion of the funds paid to Live Momentum Ltd. is reserved to settle remaining pre-closing debts owed to streamers. Live Momentum Ltd. has already commenced making these payments and retains full responsibility for all financial liabilities and debts incurred prior to the sale.

The acquisition will bolster the refreshed Razer Content Creator Program, which the company relaunched in 2024. Moving forward, Razer plans to integrate StreamElements' tools with its proprietary technologies and services, including Razer Chroma™ RGB, Razer Gold and Silver, and Razer ID.

This will provide content creators with an end-to-end workflow for stream production—from hardware to software, monetization tools, and audience engagement.

Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan called the deal a natural step forward, emphasizing the company's commitment to supporting streamers across hardware, software, and growth initiatives.

StreamElements Co-Founder and CEO Or Perry noted that Razer shares the community's values, making the transition the right step forward for the platform's continued growth.
