British Esports has announced the appointment of former Olympic swimmer Alice Dearing as Co-Vice Chair. She will join the organization’s leadership team alongside current Co-Vice Chair Lord Vaizey of Didcot and British Esports Chair Andy Payne.
Alice Dearing has been working with British Esports since September 2022 as a member of its advisory board. During that time, she participated in the “Be The Change” summit, where she highlighted the positive impact of esports and discussed the barriers certain communities face when trying to enter the industry.
While Dearing’s exact responsibilities have not been specified, her role as Co-Vice Chair will focus on strategic guidance and supporting key organizational decisions.
“Gaming and esports have been an important part of my life from an early age. I’m excited for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of British Esports and help achieve greater recognition for British esports athletes and teams,” Alice Dearing said.
As a reminder, the schedule for the second day of Unbroken UA Season 2 has already been announced.
