Esports Virtual Arenas (EVA) has officially announced the launch of the EVA Pro League, aiming to elevate VR from an arcade-style experience to a top-tier esports discipline. The league seeks to redefine the relationship between esports and traditional sports by requiring real physical endurance and spatial coordination from players.

Eight well-known European organizations have already joined the league: G2 Esports, Team Vitality, Team Heretics, SK Gaming, GiantX, Shifters, Solary, and OG Esports.

The league is set to kick off on April 14. It represents a significant step forward for free-roam VR, with matches played in 500 m² arenas where players must physically move, dodge, and run.

The league features a base prize pool of €50,000, which will be further boosted by 25% of revenue from the sale of exclusive club skin bundles priced at €19.99.

The EVA Pro League will run from April 14 to October 25, 2026, and will follow a full round-robin format with home and away matches. All games will be played in a Best-of-3 format.

EVA’s proprietary technology allows teams to compete simultaneously from two different locations while interacting in the same virtual environment. The top four teams at the end of the season will advance to the EVA Summit playoffs, scheduled for late October.

As a reminder, Forza Horizon 6 recently received a six-minute gameplay prologue.
