New details about Grand Theft Auto 6 have surfaced, including a specific statement that could hint at the future of GTA Online. On the PlayStation website, a FAQ section for the game includes an answer regarding multiplayer modes and features in GTA 6.
Rockstar Games provided a short one sentence response: “Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.”

This does not necessarily confirm that GTA 6 will have no online features, but the continued lack of GTA Online mentions in marketing materials and Rockstar’s overall silence suggest that the next online experience could exist separately from GTA 6 itself.
Originally launched as a mode within GTA 5, GTA Online has grown into its own platform with a separate launcher and has become one of Rockstar Games’ biggest sources of revenue. However, the company has remained quiet about how the online component will work in GTA 6.
Rockstar has even mentioned single-player exclusive stores for players who purchase the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6, while once again making no reference to GTA Online.

With the release scheduled for November 19, Rockstar still has plenty of time to reveal more about the future of GTA Online. Fans believe the next major update for GTA Online, including a new heist arriving in July for the first time in six years, could potentially lead into a storyline connected to Vice City and the state of Leonida featured in GTA 6.
