The esports team Team Falcons PH has successfully kicked off their run at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup as part of the Esports World Cup 2026. Playing with an updated roster alongside star midlaner Salic "Hadji" Imam, the squad secured a clean 2:0 victory over Guangzhou Gaming in their opening match.
Hadji, widely known in the community by the nickname "KDA Machine" due to his ability to rack up high-performance stats, completely lived up to his name in the very first series of games:
The team's roamer, Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo, noted that with the arrival of the new player, the squad's core playstyle did not undergo any drastic changes. According to him, Hadji has been an excellent addition to the roster: he significantly improved the team's mechanics and brought a positive attitude with him.
For Hadji himself, this marks his first appearance on the international stage since the M4 World Championship, where he played for Blacklist International.
"I really missed this feeling, as it's been a long time since my last participation in an international tournament. I am happy to be back," the esports athlete shared.
Comparing his new team to his previous experience, Hadji pointed out a striking contrast in the atmosphere between the rosters. He emphasized that Team Falcons PH has a very fun and relaxed vibe, whereas the environment at Blacklist International was always highly serious.
After easily breezing through the first match day of MSC at EWC 2026, Team Falcons PH advances to the upper bracket semifinals of Group A. This victory served as an important step for the team on their path to qualifying for the playoff stage.
