Blizzard Entertainment continues its overhaul of Overwatch. With the launch of Season 2, a new hero — Sierra — was introduced. However, the developers don’t plan to stop there.
An insider who previously revealed accurate information about Sierra and her abilities claims that Blizzard is planning to add four more heroes throughout 2026. That said, this information should be treated with caution, as it is still only a rumor.
- DPS Hero (Season 3): According to the insider, this will be a “female version of Cassidy.” She will have very similar weapons and abilities but a different backstory. She is the leader of the Hashimoto clan — a gang operating in Japan. It’s also noted that she will appear older than most recently added heroes.
- D.Mon (Tank) (Season 4): The hero’s silhouette suggests a massive mech, but the insider claims this tank will be highly mobile. The name and concept hint at another mech-controlling character, similar to D.Va. An interesting detail is that D.Mon may feature a “new type of health.”
- Omnic Detective (Support) (Season 5): A support-class character who uses a cane as their primary weapon. Despite being a support, they will have an “anti-healing aura,” allowing for a more aggressive playstyle instead of staying in the backline.
- Hivemind (Support) (final hero of 2026): A female character and former member of the Talon organization. She is an enhanced supersoldier who will likely control an army of drones. Her name may be familiar to lore fans, as she appeared in the book Overwatch Declassified, where she kidnapped UN diplomats who were later rescued by Reinhardt.
Recall that Counter-Strike 2 has officially released Animgraph 2.
